The first school that I found to fit my personality was the Dreyfoos School of the Arts. This school is dedicated to academics including art, music, film and literature as well as having successful athletic teams including boys basketball and golf and many others. This school has classes of music theory, orchestra, individual music performance, film and literature which is what I dream of a high school to be. But they are not only cool for their awesome academic courses and athletics they are also the 14th ranked high school in the nation according to NY Times.
The school gives numerous amounts of scholarship and aid and has a very successful staff. But on top of all this the school resides in West Palm Beach, Florida and the nice thing about their is that their is the ocean and it's warm how can you get much better to my opinion. To look more into this school just go to their website at http://awdsoa.org/.
Even though this next school would probably be a little wierd or just interesting is the "Walden Project" this school's main learning is about ecology. The school has 2 staff members. The school also is out in the woods and lives by themselves. They mainly teach students the lessons of Henry David Thoreau and what Mr.Thoreau created and thought about out by the Walden pond which can be found on the schools large campus area. I thought this school was very interesting but probably not too my liking, but i'm sure to someone who is interested in ecology this would be their "cool" school. Recently there was an article published about the Walden Project. You can find the article online at http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=18164469.
