As you may or may not know today is Selection Sunday in the world of College Basketball. It is a day in which the NCAA Selection Committee selects (wouldn't you figure) 64 teams from the Division 1 College Basketball Field to come play in a tournament that decides that National Champion of the College Basketball World. For college sports fans this could be considered the biggest Sunday of the year.
Tomorrow, millions of brackets will be printed out and filled, and millions of Tournament Pools among businesses, families and friends as well as many others will be made to serve the winner of the pool bragging rights for the whole year as the headmind in the sport of College Basketball. In fact, I'm sure that billions of dollars among the U.S. lies on these pools.
Being an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan I woke up early this morning to see what the ESPN "Bracketologist's" word on their opinion on where the Buckeyes fate may be. Will they make the field of 64 or not?
Currently the Buckeyes are on what they call the "bubble, where they truly don't know where their fate lies until the selection committee announces the field later today. Right now the bracketologists (in their opinion) has put the Buckeyes as one of the last 4 teams IN the tournament, but even the ESPN bracketologists dont really know for sure if the Buckeyes "bubble will be bursted" or not.
So if you are interested, tune into CBS later today to see if the Buckeyes make it in or not and who the rest of the field is.
To see more info on the tournament or to test your smarts in College Basketball visit http://espn.com/.
Talk to you later.
